Kristin was our doula last year for the birth of my first child in September.  We were initially skeptical about having a doula involved in our birth but this turned out to be the best decision that we could have made especially as first-time parents. From the moment that we met her, we were impressed with her knowledge and relaxed approach.  She was a wealth of knowledge and was able to recommend a fantastic birth educator and provide numerous other recommendations.  This was useful as we had a lot of questions. The whole process was educational and prepared us well for the birth and I appreciate the post-birth support and follow-ups. We ended up having a challenging birth but Kristin was with us the all the way.  She went above and beyond to provide additional support which was greatly needed.

Kristin is an amazing doula! She is so caring, very knowledgable, professional, approachable and offers tough love when we needed it in the delivery room. She helped us deliver our almost 10 lb. baby boy without an epidural, and coached us through all of the inducing and ups and downs and choices we had to make along the way. She was very respectful and worked extremely well with our nurses and midwives at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and gave us the confidence we needed to get through the most amazing and terrifying experience of our life: safely delivering our firstborn in the most natural way possible. She was a great resource for both my husband and I before, during and after our son was born.

We hope to have her at all the births of our children.

Kristin was my doula with my second and third deliveries. Both were successful in-hospital, unmedicated VBAC's. I attribute her calm demeanor and seasoned experience with helping me achieve the birth experience I wanted to reclaim after my first delivery resulted in an unplanned c-section. She was attentive and available throughout both pregnancies she helped me with and was absolutely indispensable during both labor & deliveries. Her calm demeanor and helpful suggestions provided relief to both my husband and myself especially as I progressed through transition and pushing. Also, Kristen has a great working relationship with the midwives at the hospital where I delivered, having worked as a doula with many other women who delivered at the same place. This contributed to the feeling that the whole team in the delivery room was working seamlessly together towards the same goal of supporting me through the process.

After my first successful VBAC I was so happy that I had hired Kristin and there was no question I wanted her support again for my next delivery.

Kristin was wonderful to work with during and after giving birth to our son. Our son came 4.5 weeks early and had to arrive via c section. Kristin came to the hospital and also was there for us upon our arrival at home to help get adjusted to our new life as three!

Her services were greatly appreciated as she was very thorough with what was happening during and after pregnancy.
